Mrs. Henderson Presents...
A jolly good time!

I watched my first (yes, FIRST) film of the year with boons yesterday, and I am so glad we didn't settle for any other Final Destination 3-esque show. We took a little risk and went for a show that has hardly been advertised, Mrs. Henderson Presents, even though we could barely read the movie poster from where we were and had heard zilch about it. Well actually, I've heard zilch on just about every movie that's screening right now, save for Brokeback.
We weren't disappointed.
Hell, I was absolutely blown away by the movie. The acting was near-perfect - Judi Dench (a show-stopper herself) and Bob Hoskins had incredible screen chemistry, and I can't even begin to describe the stunning Kelly Reilly. Hell, even Will Young (past winner of Pop Idol, American Idol's British predecessor) was pretty convincing in his screen debut. Above all, the film was so full of raw emotion, so full of that certain... je ne sais quoi that makes a good film great.
I left the theater feeling all nice and warm (even in the frigid cold of the air conditioning). You MUST watch this film, especially if you're a fan of British productions.

Reilly, Dench

An absolute stunner
