Army Daze

Well, not the play, unfortunately. More precisely, it was me going back and having a lil' taste of ol' army life, sans regimentation, uniform, boots, booking in, smelly bunks, cranky warrant officers...

If you haven't yet guessed, I took my IPPT today. It's actually pretty amazing that I didn't just melt and die halfway through my 2.4km run under the awfully hot evening sun, so I'll just be glad for small mercies.

I've also got a bit to work on to get my fitness back to where it should be, but then again I know I'm just kidding myself. Run, me? I'll just stick to cycling, thankyouverymuch.

Anyway, school's been slowing down quite a bit, with the exception of the curse that is the School of Business Official Opening, which curiously enough seems to be going pretty well. I shouldn't speak too soon though, we've just encountered quite a big hitch, and it's almost entirely under my charge! Ack, Saturday couldn't come sooner.

Why Saturday? It's my weekly ride - just about all that SMU students can afford to spare, one night.

Why's my entry so disjointed? Dunno, guess it's because I'm itching to get back to my game of Winning Eleven. Ciao!

OH, one last thing. To all my readers:

Anyone know where I can get minus-one recordings? In particular, looking for the Frank Sinatra rendition of Swinging on a Star. Can't just use a program to de-vocalise the song because we need it for a performance, so will meet with legal issues. Please help if you can! Thanks!
