Pho, Ice Cream and Mahjong.
There, you know what I did last night already! No need to blog about it already.
Well, fine, I'll just be boring anyway. Beats telling you about what I did the day before (hint: it involved a couch, a tv and a remote control). Well, we finally managed to get them westerners to make the (very worthwhile) journey down to the east, at Siglap, where they could at least pretend for a night that they were actually easties and were cool. But well, we ALL know the truth, don't we.
So we ate and walked and we ate somemore and then Crystal, Lance and Shan'er came over for some mahjonggggggggggg. Of course, Lance being the true-blue 1/4 indian, didn't know how to play, so we spent like, an hour teaching him how to play, only to have him rush off for some emergency, leaving the 3 of us stranded. BUT, little did any of us suspect that 3 man mahjong's waaaaaaay more fun than 4 man. It's not often that you win games with like, 8 or 9 tais! But yeah, rather disappointingly the night didn't end in drunken havoc and we all trooped off to our various homes (well, except me of course) rather soberly.
Fast forward (well yeah slowly though) to today, and I spent my afternoon over at COH and APSN, who hold the bulk of the beneficiaries for my upcoming camp. It's really a joy to work with the kids/adults there, though it takes immense amounts of patience, a virtue that I could use more of. I'm looking forward to my camp, but I've no idea if I'll be able to survive it without looking like a zombie afterward!
Well I ended off the day having dinner with boons at Siglap (where else) at a quaint little place called Big Fish. You guys should try it! It totally owns Fish & Co, and it isn't very much more expensive, with a greater range of choice on the menu. Plus, and I must emhasise this plus, it isn't crowded. Though now that I've pimped it on my blog, assuming my entire readership starts patronising the place, they'll have 2 less seats available.
Well then, this post has been all joy and laughter, hasn't it?
