However, that feeling is quite nullified by the glee of a good bargain, and so all's not that bad. I know, I'm terrible. Anyway in the great Weiming-like tradition of CD buying, I walked into HMV and emerged no more than 5 minutes later, 2 brand new CDs in hand. I've wanted them for a long time already though, so no regrets. If you're curious, they're Rachael Yamagata's Happenstance and a collaborations by Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto.
So far, what I've learnt from the GSS? It pays much, much, much better to have a UOB credit card on your hands than it does any other bank. The number of discounts available to UOB cardholders is simply mindboggling. In fact, my best deal of the day came from a UOB discount.
So now, with a considerably fattened wardrobe, I can finally concentrate my efforts on... CDs. I've still got that pending order on Amazon.com because I really can't bear to place a $160 order just like that. Even if they ARE absolutely awesome CDs.

And in the tragic news of the day, Elitetorrents.org has just been closed down by the Feds over at our dear US-of-frickin'-A. Coupled with the fact that the 2 top providers for my TV torrents are already down, it looks like my days of piracy are over, with a capital O.
